The Power System and Power Electronics Lab facilitates practical learning in power
generation, conversion, transmission, distribution, and protection. The lab includes IGBT
choppers/inverters, thyristor controllers, power electronic trainers, PID controllers,
oscilloscopes, dynamometers, and data acquisition interfaces. Trainers for wind energy,
solar energy, and power transmission & protection systems allow students to study
renewable energy systems, grid synchronization, fault analysis, and protective relaying.
