Dr. Waqas Bin Khidmat

Assistant Professor

Dr. Waqas Bin Khidmat is an Assistant Professor of Finance at Air University, Kamra, currently on leave while pursuing his postdoctoral research in Corporate Governance at Multimedia University, Malaysia. He holds a Ph.D. in Finance from Dongbei University of Finance and Economics, China, along with an M.Phil. and MBA in Finance from Pakistan. His research interests span corporate governance, board diversity, corporate innovation, financial flexibility, earnings management, and the application of machine learning in finance. Dr. Waqas has published widely in SSCI and ABDC-ranked journals and has supervised numerous postgraduate students. He has taught a variety of finance courses, including Strategic Finance, Corporate Governance, and Empirical Finance, and has actively contributed to curriculum development and accreditation initiatives. Recognized with several accolades such as a gold medal for his MBA, a Cultural Exchange Scholarship, and the Emerald Literati Award for Excellence, he is a dedicated scholar who regularly participates in international conferences and remains committed to advancing academic and research excellence in business and finance.
